I have a tendency towards "gadgets", particularly when they do more than one useful/interesting/CYA thing.  My favorite fairly recent (@1 year +/-) is a SureFire "E2D" flashlight.

It's been handy.  It's REALLY bright (60 lumens), and it's really pretty small.  Hard anodized aerospace-grade aluminum body, Pyrex light-window, weather- and water-proof, and brighter than a "club" D-cell MagLight.

Recently, I got an email from SureFire® advertising a knife that really trips my trigger:  the SureFire Delta folding knife.  It's definitely a "multi" tool for public service/military type work.  It's got a window-punch and protected strap/cord cutter, both of which scream out to EMS/rescue work.  It's got a bunch of little added features like an integral wire-cutter, wrench slot, etc...  Plus, it's got a titanium frame/handle.  Anything that comes in titanium automatically gets style/cool points, in my book.  Here's the picture:

I also recently stumbled across another flashlight from SureFire that I want...  The Kroma which is slightly larger than my current E2D.  Little less bright, but it has 2-level white light as well as red and blue light.  Red is good for preserving night-vision, and I understand that blue makes certain body fluids that are common on EMS scenes show up better.  Same material for the body, same water- and weather-proof manufacture, but the lamps in this light are LED, rather than "regular" bulbs, meaning that they burn cool and last a hell of a lot longer.
 

I need to make more money, because my taste in toys is WAY out of line with my income.  Dammit.  :)
